Pinot Gris is the copper-skinned member of the Pinot family. It produces elegant white wines with a rich texture and complex aromatics. Subtle aromas of peach skin, red apple, lemon and white tea. On the palate it presents as a generously textured, dry wine with a smooth mid-palate, moderate acidity and ripe fruit on the finish.

The 2019 Chardonnay sensorial journey begins with vibrant and lifted aromas of red and golden delicious apples, pineapple, Meyer lemon and tropical notes with subtle floral hints of honeysuckle and blossoms.  Following are notes of spice, baked apple pie, fresh Danish and graham cracker crust.  The aromas are mirrored on the palate, beginning with bright and lifted flavours of lemon tart and fresh pineapple juice, evolving into richer characters of apple crumble and crème brûlée.  The texture is elegant; rich, full and delicately creamy with a long balanced crisp finish.

“The fourth and final release of our Port-style wine, enjoy after dinner with an array of aged cheeses. Who needs dessert?” This special Port style wine has been aging for 9 years in barrel, hiding in the back of the cellar. Cherry jam and dark berries, cedar and cassis on the nose: chocolate, vanilla and clove and nutmeg with a hint of caramel and butterscotch on the palette with a lasting long finish. Fortified with our distilled 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon. Yours to savour with that special someone. Equal parts Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Syrah. 21% alcohol but dry on the palate.

Barier Bros winery stands out in my travels through BC’s wine regions with super friendly people pouring delicious wines and the prices are also very friendly. The Pristine Vin Gris is my favourite Rosé this summer and especially as we celebrate Rosé month in August! Bartier Bros. wine notes: “Lily fresh, crustacean friendly.” I highly recommend this wine as an easy breezy summer sipper!
